Algee Smith
Algee Smith was born November 7, 1994 is an American singer and actor. After appearing in a variety of small TV parts, Smith first rose to fame for his role as Ralph Tresvant in the BET’s The New Edition Story miniseries. In the following year, he earned the attention of critics for his performance as Larry Reed in Kathryn Bigelow’s film Detroit. He is currently an appearance on Euphoria, an HBO drama series Euphoria.
Childhood and early life
Smith was born in Saginaw, Michigan. In the year of eight the family of his father relocated to Michigan to Atlanta which is where he began an acting career. With an artist father and a fashion stylist for an mother, Smith was well immersed in the arts. He also recorded his first rap song at the age 9.
