Southwest Airlines passengers continue to experience travel difficulties Monday, with more flights being delayed or canceled. Flight tracker Flight Aware reported that more than 360 flights were canceled Monday, many of them at Lambert Airport in St. Louis. Many more flights were also delayed cheap flights to Cleveland Ohio.
“The flight was not canceled, but it was rescheduled for Thursday. Kaitlin Claywell, who was supposed Southwest from North Carolina to St. Louis on Sunday, stated that we were supposed to depart Raleigh at 2:00.
Southwest customers have been able to enjoy a long weekend after they canceled more than 2,000 flights between Friday and Sunday.
There weren’t any other flights. They were able instead to drive 13 hours in their rental car across seven states.
She said, “We were like oh crud. We need to get back in St. Louis tonight before work tomorrow so that we can have our jobs.”
They were expensive and have not yet reached Southwest. They were among thousands of people trying to recover costs due to the cancellations and delays over the weekend. Southwest Airlines blames bad weather and poor air traffic control. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), however, says that air traffic control is not to blame. Many people are puzzled by the timing. Travel disruptions started Friday after Southwest pilots requested a court to stop the company from mandating vaccines.
“SWAPA is aware that Southwest Airlines has operational difficulties today because of a number of issues. However, we can assure you that our pilots will not be participating in any unofficial or official job actions,” said the union representing pilots in a statement released Saturday cheap flights to Cleveland Ohio.
Adam Hon, a travel agent, says that there may be more problems like these in the future.

What can travelers do if their flight is delayed or canceled? Not much. The Department of Transportation states that airlines in the United States are not required by law to compensate passengers for delayed or canceled flights. Only passengers who are “bumped” by a flight that has been oversold are entitled to compensation under U.S. law.
Southwest issued travel vouchers and refunds to some travelers who canceled flights this weekend. Others are still waiting for a representative.
