Randy Tillim passed away on the evening of April 15 2022, aged the age of 51. His wife Ana as well as two kids, Jack and Ryan. His Savage Garage team announced his death in a post via Instagram on April 17 , which reads:
“It is with the utmost sadness and unimaginable grief that we must inform you that Randy ‘Savage’ Tillim passed away last night, Friday, April 15th.”
The reason for the death of the man was not revealed in the report and the rest of the statement read

Randy’s sudden death occurred just days after he’d attended his Savage Rally where he seemed to be healthy and well-behaved along with family members and acquaintances. In the aftermath, messages of condolences and grief were flooded in from people who loved him and well-known figures within the world of cars.
Alex Choi, fellow supercar YouTuber, and Randy’s best friend who was a participant on Randy’s Savage Rally. Savage Rally posted a video in remembrance of his passing. It reads:
“The entire world lost a deeply selfless and generous person who takes the care of people prior to taking care of his own. I also lost my most dear friend, my most important inspiration, my mentor and someone who always inspired me to be more gentle, kind, and generous throughout the time that I was portion of his existence.
New details have since revealed that Randy passed away at home of an accidental shot wound
Randy’s mysterious manner of death has led to speculations of the possibility of suicide or an automobile accident. However, it was soon brought to the light of day that a “tragic accident’ had claimed his life.
According to YouTuber Aaron Palos’s report on Randy’s death in his channel called ‘Life of Plos Savage Garage’s management team has confirmed that Randy was involved in an accident. The YouTuber said:
“I had the opportunity to speak with Rachel who is part of The Savage Garage team and confirm that it was a tragically unfortunate accident that caused Randy dying and to request you and the automotive community to not speculate on the reason. The family will be able to, at some point during the next few months and years, discuss about the specifics of this in the event that they wish to.”
Although the cause of the incident was not specific, additional information was uncovered from a 911 dispatch that was made by Ana on the 15th of April. The dispatcher confirmed that Randy suffered a fatal shot wound from a rifle , and passed away at his home in Piney Meetinghouse Road, Maryland.
The 911 dispatcher is heard repeating the message as: “Ana is the caller. It’s for her husband who has just killed himself, a 50 year old male. In a state of unconsciousness, breathing in a haze… as well the shooting was carried out by an assault rifle. The victim was found in the room closet.”
Although some reports claim that Randy was shot in his head, other reports dispute that it was a gunshot towards the chest. It’s unclear if the shooting was accidental or a deliberate suicide attempt as the report from Gun Violence Archive notes the reason for Randy’s death as accidental, murder suicide, or murder.
Ana Terrasa said her family is “still trying to pick up the pieces” following Randy’s passing in her first public statement.
The Tillim family did not rush to respond to Randy’s death , but did not make any announcements for two weeks after the tragedy. However, on Saturday, April 27 Ana was married to Randy for more than three decades and had been married for nearly three decades, broke the silence with an Instagram video that was posted on the Savage Garage’s Instagram account.
“We are all devastated and devastated. It’s been a extremely difficult period. I lost my husband of 29 years. My children lost their father , and we’re trying hard to endure each day and go on. He will be deeply missed We thank you so greatly, we truly appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers. It means a lot to us. As Randy always stated, “Stay savage”.”
