    This is so true, isn’t it? They say “You are what you eat”, and it shows not only on the insides of the body, but on the outsides as well- your skin especially. So if you’ve tried all the lotions and potions to up the ante with your dull skin, maybe its time to check your diet. This is why, we urge you to read below and incorporate a good amount of nutrients, vitamins and Trace minerals in your diet.     Ginger is good

    The herb ginger has plenty of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and they are found in the root. Ginger also soothes the skin, which is why many facial menus have ginger incorporated in them.

    Try chia seeds

    A little bit of chia seeds in your smoothie would bring in a lot of Omega 3s for you, which are fatty acids that are building blocks for healthy skin cell functioning, and to produce new collagen too, say experts.

    Have tomatoes

    A favorite with salads, tomatoes have a lot of lycopene in them, which helps with anti-ageing and are antioxidants too. They help fight free radicals that attack your skin cells, and curb the ageing process.

    Munch on sweet potatoes

    You do not have to give up on carbs, just because you want perfect skin. Sweet potatoes have a lot of Vitamin A in them, which help reduce the production of oil in the skin and can help treat acne too.

    Have some sardines

    Fish, oh yes, you should have sardines. Don’t rule them out just as yet. With sardines, you get plenty of selenium and Vitamin B12, say experts.     For breakfast, have egg whites. You get all the protein you need for the day, and you get amino acids such as proline and lysine as well- also collagen production is increased.     More seeds and nuts

    Have a lot of citrus fruits

    There are a lot of antioxidants and plenty of Vitamin C in citrus fruits, which is why you should have plenty of them. Vitamin C and antioxidants help the skin stay safe from pigmentation, help in toxin flushing, and also clear your system from the insides. And you should know that lemons can be used as a skin-lightening mask too- helps with a clear complexion.

    The love for papayas

    For flawless skin to have, you should consume papaya. Papaya has a lot of minerals and vitamins in it, and the fruit is anti bacterial and anti-fungal too- helps fight skin infections at large.
