Rogelio Cantu, 52, of McHenry. Police say that a McHenry man was detained after he attacked his girlfriend’s face with an axe during a fight on Saturday evening in McHenry. McHenry Police Department McHenry Police Department was called to the scene around 9:00 p.m. Saturday night to in the 1900-block of Concord Drive in McHenry for the report of a stabbing. The victim, a 52-year old female, claimed to have been involved in a domestic fight with Rogelio Cantu 52, who lives in the 1900 block Concord Drive in McHenry.

Firefighters are on the scene in the area of Vermont Road in unincorporated Woodstock after receiving a report of a structure fire on Saturday afternoon. Officials from MFRDO said about $100,000 worth of damage was caused by an unoccupied garage that contained machinery and vehicles was engulfed in flames on Saturday, near Marengo. It was reported that the Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts arrived around 2.47 p.m. at the time of Saturday’s incident to the block 3300 of Vermont Road in Seneca Township that lies situated between Woodstock between Marengo and Woodstock.
