The loss of hair in postpartum is among the most painful.
As I was going through postpartum with my first baby, nobody was able to tell me how serious the loss of hair postpartum would be. I have thin hair, but once I was at 3 months, it looked like it was just falling out. Then it would not it stop!divi hair serum
After about 6 months of postpartum the hair stopped falling out as fast as it was, however, I ended up with lots of thin and bald spots. The most frustrating part was that one of the spots was directly in front of me. I was able to have my hair stylist change my part to hide the area and I kept my hair this way until about one year, until my hair grew back.
The second time, the postpartum hair loss was more severe. My hair loss started at a bit earlier and eventually more hair began falling out. I began to notice two large small spots on my hairline in the front regardless of what I did , I could not cover up.
I shared on Instagram my issue along with my buddy Keshia stylist, who is also a hair stylist, said she had seen ads for a brand new product known as Divi which claimed to aid with hair loss postpartum. Also, she was postpartum and was considering using it to treat hair loss as well.
WHAT IS DIVI HAIR SERUM?
Divi Hari serum is light serum composed consisting of Copper Tripeptide-1, Tea Tree Oil, Rosemary Leaf Extract as well as Caffeine. It’s claimed to revive and cleanse your scalp and, for me aid in hair growth to thicken hair.
After placing my order, I received confirmation and a few days later, it was delivered! I was awestruck by the speed at which it was delivered and how gorgeous the packaging was. I was incredibly enthusiastic about trying it and as soon as I opened the package, I took out the package to test it. Before I get to the point, I’d like to make it clear that this was entirely my own impression of Divi. In this review, there aren’t any affiliate links or any other information about Divi I purchased all of the bottles on my own hoping it would help me after-partum loss of hair.
HOW TO USE
The package advises shaking the bottle vigorously and then apply 1 drop per each day (preferably in the time your hair gets moist) then apply it to your hair. I followed the directions and sprayed the majority of my serum in the areas where my hair was extremely thin and i massaged it into my hair after which I noticed it was absorbed quite quickly. I began to my hair dry I noticed the places in which I applied the serum experienced coolness that actually felt very pleasant!
MONTH 1
I continued to use the serum each day as the directions suggested. I did apply the serum a few times on dry hair, and noticed that that it left my hair little oily on the areas I applied it. So, wet hair is always preferable.
After my first week, I did not notice any significant changes. However, I was impressed with how the hair feel (the cooling effect caused me to think that there was something happening LOL) therefore I decided to continue. The second time around, I chose subscribe and save, so I could save 10 of my purchase.
MONTH 2
I continued to apply the serum through month 2 and towards the at the end of the month I began to see tiny baby hairs appearing! Yes!! It was exciting to witness, so I decided to go on with a new month of the serum.
MONTH 3
The third month was the very first month that I joined the subscription plan. My order arrived one day or two prior to when the month 2 bottle went out. After the month ended, 3 I noticed some regrowth, and I began using the product on different places in my hair in an attempt to make it thicker (hey it’s worth trying isn’t it? ).
MONTH 4
I’m currently in month 4 and am amazed by the growth I’ve experienced. The areas in front which were thin are filled with hair that is growing back as baby. I’m hoping this will be my last month with Divi as I’ve noticed the results I’ve always wanted! The only issue for me this month is that the package was delivered late, and I was almost three weeks without my serum. I could borrow a few from the bottle of my husband until my own finally arrived.
IS DIVI WORTH IT?
I believe that Divi is totally worth the investment. I was skeptical for the initial month, but after baby hairs began to appear, I became a believer. After having my baby for the first time I took longer to see these results.
The only issue that I have found with Divi is the price. When I first started to order, I received a lot of emails from them that included offers like an extra 10 percent off subscriptions. But, as I was an existing customer, the offers didn’t apply for myself (my husband’s subscription was eligible however) So I think it’s somewhat misleading that they are sending current customers the same offers, but they don’t actually apply to me.
Divi also offers a 3 month package that costs $136. That costs $45.33 for a bottle.
PROMO CODE
Although I don’t have any coupon code to give away I’ve noticed Divi distributes a ton of deals (I received 2 coupons to me while I was surfing their site creating this post). Take a look around their website or sign up to their email list and you’ll surely get one of them sent to you.
FINAL THOUGHTS
If you’re struggling with thin hair or postpartum loss like I am, I strongly recommend exploring Divi. It is important for (at minimum) three months in order to observe the results, but it’s been well beneficial to me!
I’ll make sure to update this post once my husband has reached 3 or 4 month mark of Divi. Divi to see his progress!
